The safety of our community is our highest priority. We will be following CDC & Allegheny County COVID-19 protocols for volunteers and recipients. We ask that everyone follow current CDC regulations including hand washing, social distancing and mask wearing during volunteering, distribution and group collection activities.

- What can/should be collected this year
- Due to frequently changing guidelines, we recommend that you don’t start collecting as early as previous years. While we hope that we won’t be forced to cancel, we don’t want to collect toys that we can’t give out.
- We will NOT be asking for books this year. Should you receive books, we will accept them, but we’d like to limit the quantity we receive.
- As usual, we will not be accepting stuffed animals or clothing.
- Because of our smaller staff of volunteers, strongly encourage your groups to pre-package/label/clean items when donating whenever possible.
- Presort/Clean
- If you are able to pre-sort, label according to categories and clean/sanitize items prior to delivery, that would be appreciated. It will make things easier to work with, considering our limited volunteers in the space due to covid guidelines.
- Drop off info
- Drop off dates are Monday-Wednesday December 7-9, 2020.
- This year we are scheduled on the second floor of the Convention Center, so all deliveries must come through the loading dock ramp, which can be accessed on Ft. Duquesne Boulevard. This will be an easy, convenient system for you to drop your items and we will have help unloading. We will ask you to wear a mask while dropping off if you exit your vehicle. We can NOT accept any street drops offs this year. We will contact you to schedule a drop off date and time.
- Supply donations
- This year we need supplies more than ever. Please consider encouraging people to donate sanitizing wipes, paper towels, Ziploc bags (gallon size or larger) and heavy duty large (33 gallon) garbage bags and boxes for our distribution.
