You MUST sign up to receive toys. During sign up, you will have the option to choose a PREPACKAGED BOX (Friday, December 12, 2025) that will be filled by our volunteers based on your wish list, OR you may come and shop IN PERSON (Saturday, December 13, 2025). Recipients must sign up for the distribution in order to be on the list to receive items.
- Signs ups will be on a first-come first come basis. Sign ups open on Monday, November 17, 2025. Half of the slots will open at 9am and the other half will open at 9pm to allow for varying schedules. Additional sign up slots may become available if the number of donated items permits.
- Recipients must sign up to receive toys.

Play It Forward Pittsburgh is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization that collects and distributes gently used toys for FREE for the holidays. We collect and distribute toys for children up to 12 years old.
How do I receive toys?

Can I switch from Wish List Box Distribution to In Person Shopping?
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate switches once you are signed up.
Where are you located?
We are located at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center - 1000 Ft. Duquesne Blvd. - Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring your confirmation email, identification that matches the email, and something to carry your items in (bag, box, wagon, etc)
Can I bring my kids or someone to help me carry?
Yes, you may. Others will not be able to shop for any additional items but are allowed to help you carry items.
What if I can’t make it that day?
You are welcome to have someone come in your place. They must have your confirmation and a copy or photo of your drivers license.

How do I receive toys?
You have two options:
- Wish List Box Distribution: Sign up via the Wish List Box form; you’ll be asked to give us some information about what your child(ren) like and our volunteers will pack a box for you to pick up on Friday, December 12th anytime between 10am - 6:30 pm.
- Families will receive 1 New Item if available per family.
- 3 toys max per child with a 15 toy limit per family.
- No big tickets items will be available for Wish List Box Distribution.
- In Person Shopping: Sign up via the In-Person Shopping form and select a time from available slots (8am - 11:30am) to come in person on Saturday, December 13 and shop for free for your own items. There will be NO LINE UP prior to shopping. You will show up at your preassigned time to shop.
- Families can choose; 1 Big Ticket Item and 1 New Item if available per family.
- 3 toys max per child. No more than 15 toys per families of 5+ children.
